Music

As a sax-player, composer and bandleader, I took part in the transition from free-jazz over jazz-rock to fusion during the 1960s, 1970s and early 1980s.

The art of improvisation, and the interplay between musicians was always, a prime interest of mine.

When digital electronics took over the music scene, I gradually lost interest in the pursuit of a professional career.

As an artist and a scientist, I look on music as an expression of consciousness shared on  a number of levels: an emotional level, a cultural level, the level of embodiment, and - not least - the level of the soul. Music is a unique way of sharing the experience of consciousness.

Linking experience and consciousness in music connects the artistic to the scientific domain.
